Whistler, Day 3 : Another day

Sun come on our spot yesterday.

Not all day long but we could do some run,

So this is a good thing.

But as it snowed all night long, the pipe was kind of under the snow.

I had no speed, some guys had but not me !

I pass my day, doin some straight air, just feel the wall,

Tryin new grab I wanna make in my tricks.

Le soleil est venu sur notre spot aujourd'hui.
Pas toute la journée mais suffisamment pour faire quelques runs,
Donc c'est une bonne chose.
La mauvaise c'est qu'il y avait de la neige au fond du pipe et ça ralentissait.
J'avais pas de speed, d'autres en avait, mais moi non !
J'ai passé ma journée à faire des saut droit, sentir la courbe,
A essayer des nouveaux grabs que je veux faire dans mes tricks.
Comme celui d'au dessus...

Whistler, Day 2 : When the rain goes away !

The rain finally goes away (for few hours).

Even if it was not bluebird outside, just a simply cloudy day,

We went on slope to try the pipe and see what happen at the slope qualifier.

We all had a mellow session, just feel the wall, some straight air...

We have free practice until sunday, so don't need to hurry and do bullshit !

The pipe is good, a bit over vert on the right side, so we'll need to be

Watching out... Everybody stomped at least once at the bottom of the wall ahah.

La pluie est finallement parti (pour quelques heures).

Même si il ne fait pas grand beau, c'est un petit ciel nuageux,

On est monté tester le pipe et voir ce qu'il se passait sur les qualifs de slope.

On a tous ridé tranquille, on prend ces repères, en saut droit...

On à jusqu'à dimanche donc rien en sert de se précipiter !

Le pipe est bien, un peu trop fermé sur le coté droit, donc on va devoir être

Prudent... Tout le monde à au moins posé une fois tout en bas ahah.

There is the WSI Half Pipe and there is also a smaller one,

So funny to ride a 10 feet high pipe ahah.

As you can see the machine is small !

It may be the machine for the JO?

 About the slope section, this is a nice slope, and think

It changes than others this year.

There is some cool rails, cool jumps with a channel gap and a quarter.

And yesterday was the Open qualifier on the slope,

La section de slope, c'est un bon enchainement, et je pense
Qu'il change bien de tous les autres slope qu'on ait pu voir cette année.
Il y a des bons rails, des kick en transfert et un quarter.
Et c'était les open qualif,

The weather is way more good than yesterday,
So, I think that today will be awesome.
There is the slope elimination, will nice to watch.
And tonight there is the big air training that Toto and Ben do.
At least it will be a cool day with some action !

Whistler, my new spot for 6 days.

I took off yesterday in Geneva with Ben,

Passed through Amsterdam and

Finally arrive in Vancouver and

Met the other guys, Aissam, Toto and Xav.

We had to pass through Vancouver dowtown

To go to Whistler.

And seriously, Vancouver looks so beautiful.

I really wanna make a stop there for a day,

Chill in town and also meet my brother

Who lives there since 2 years.

I'll see in the next few days if I can do it...

J'ai décolé hier de Genève avec Ben,

Une escale à Amsterdam et

On est finallement arrivé à Vancouver où

L'on à retrouvé les autres, Aissam, Toto et Xav.

On  est passé à travers le centre de Vancouver

Pour aller à Whistler.

Et sérieusement, Vancouver c'est vraiment beau.

J'ai vraiment de m'arrêter la bas pour une journée,

Chiller en ville et aussi voir mon frère

Qui vit la bas depuis 2 ans.

Je vais voir ça dans les prochain jours si je peux me faire un petit trip...

So, after that we took a ride during 2 hours to get to Whistler.

The weather wasn't that good, raining, and today is the same.

So I hope that it will be better next days.

We just have practice days until sunday.

And all comp will be on sunday (for the pipe), Elimination and Final.

I hope that the weather will turn good and that we'll be able to practice a bit.

Donc après on a fait 2 heures de routes pout aller à Whistler.

Le temps n'était pas top, il pleuvait, et aujourd'hui c'est la même.

Donc j'espère que ça va s'arranger dans les prochains jours.

On a juste des practices jusqu'à dimanche donc ça va.

Et toute la comp va être dimanche (pour le pipe), les élimination et final.

J'espère que le temps sera mieux et que l'on va pouvoir faire un peu de practices.

Winter is not over yet !

When you look outside, you can clearly see that Winter is over.

For me all almost done all the things I wanted to do.

One more thing left, in Whistler

The WSI : World Skiing Invitationnal.

It's the final of the AFP tour, so it's good to be there.

And it will be my first time in Canada.

That I take off next week.

Greg will not follow us, but we're all togheter, so that's cool.

Quand on regarde dehors, on peut vraiment voir que l'hiver est terminé.

What is the WSI?
The WSI is the last comp of the year in Whistler.
This year and for the first time, this is the final of the AFP tour and
It counts like the Europe X-Games, so PRICELESS.

We can see kids are pushing extrem sport very hard.

We can say the same in ski with Torin Yater Wallace,

In street skate, Nyjah Huston...

In US, there is lot of young skater,

We often see some insane clip of guy between 10 and 14 years old,

Doin some amazing tricks.

Here is one of them.

Tom Schaar, 12 years old.

He just did the first 1080 in skate history.
